In a lot of graffiti one can see calligraphic influence. There is actually a whole style on it´s own – calligraffiti.
Let´s find out more and get inspiration from this special branch of urban art. Calligraphic skill and know-how, the ideas of medieval illumination meets the freedom and spirit of graffiti. It´s about experimenting, using graffiti markers as a starting point for a whole new drawn lettering-style.
Pushing boundaries and breaking rules – sounds like fun, doesn´t it?
Material:
* Black acrylic marker (size: 8-12mm, e.g. Mon-tana, Molotow, Posca)
* Automatic pens (size 4/5/6)
* Ruling pens
* Pencil (2H)
* T-ruler (40cm) or/and triangular ruler (30cm) eraser
* Gouache (black + ca. 5 colours)
* Pointed brush (size 2/4/6)
* Sketchpad Din A3 120g/qm
* Tracing paper
* Good quality watercolor paper (BFK Rives/-Arches, not too rough, ca. 185-250g)
